  6.     Two batch files are involved in executing bimodem :
  7.  
  8.         BITX.BAT    is executed when sending, ie a host mode caller is
  9.                     downloading from you, or you are uploading to
  10.                     another board.
  11.  
  12.         BIRX.BAT    is executed when receiving, ie a host mode caller is
  13.                      uploading to you, or you are downloading from
  14.                      another board.

  16.     However, as bimodem is a bidirectional protocol, both these files are
  17.     usually identical - the results will be the same whether bimodem is
  18.     executed from the Upload or Download command.

  20.     The bimodem batch files are slightly complicated since they are also
  21.     executed during netmail transfers.  So it is best to stick to the
  22.     supplied BI?X.BAT files unless you have a good reason for changing
  23.     them.
